Forsake all unprofitable work
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
The system of this world is a direct opposite of the system in God's kingdoms, as kingdom pilgrims who has be bought with a price and has forsaken the old nature of this world and put on the nature of Christ which conforms to the nature of God, we must continually know that we can't do things the way the world do.
The world is full of sin and so as believers in Christ Jesus, we must be spiritually sensitive the things we do so as not to fade away from the path of righteousness Christ has set our feet on.
One of such we should be careful of is the work we do, it may be goodly but not godly, it may be earthly profitable but heaven lose, it may be earthly exulting but heavenly condemned. Some professions can lead us to hell if not checked.
There are so many ways to riches and wealth, but not all easy leads to God sir ring wealth and it us soul profiting, Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Many people rush to make it n life, they rush to make money, wealth and fame through deceitful means in their profession, even when many claimed to have been saved by Christ and putting on the new nature of righteousness, but forgetting that all unrighteousness is sin before God.
Luke 19:8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
Zacchaeus was a tact collector who works for the republicans, he was rich, it his riches was not all through his hard work and truthfulness. But he sort to see Christ, He wish to accept Him. His desire was fulfilled when Christ noticed Him and offered to abode in his home.
After listening to the teaching of Christ, his heart was renewed and began to make restitution of the wrongs he had done in the past... Wrongs of forcing people to pay more than they are supposed to, being cruel to those who could not afford taxes, and hording some funds which suppose to go to the appropriate authorities.
Are you not of such so today?, you are in charge of public funds, but you mismanaged it for your own gain... You are a security official who extort people on the highway, you a civil servant who padded figures in offices, such acts will rob you off the kingdom of God if you don't repent.
Are you a doctor who performs ambition? You are a means through which many souls are killed, you perform abortions not for the reason of some complications for the mother, instead you promote sexual immorality. You heaven is not sure if you fail to repent.
Are you a lecturer, you find joy in failing students for fun, you request for sex in place of marks, you are the reason many students couldn't graduate in time and the reo many commit suicide, you won't make heaven if you fail to repent
Are you a lawyer or a Judge? You deliberately free the guilty and convict the innocent, you collect bride in place of true judgement, be sue of you many innocent lost their lives in prison, many rot in jail without hope of freedom. Know for sure that you won't make heaven if you fail to repent.
You as a minister of God, you fabricate lies and call it prophecy, you deceitfully extort money from your members through different bible references on sowing seeds and paying offerings, even when God has not commanded you. You will not make heaven if you fail to repent.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them, condemn evil unrighteousness, wickedness that may percent itself to you as good offer. You may gain the whole world, but your soul lost in hell.
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Everything you acquire in this world stays in this world, but your soul will either end up in everlasting torment or everlasting peace. What you do, the way you act will determine where you soul will end up to.
Repent from all ungodly and unrighteous works of darkness, forsake them, resign if need be, so as to have your place in the kingdom of God.
Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Repent today, make restitution, tomorrow may be too late.
