Bitter Experience
Day2: Tommorow may be too late
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Yesterday we began a series titled "Bitter Experience" , God has made us to understand what Hell entails, the pain, the agony, the eternal gnashing of teeth that await anyone who refuses to accept Christ has their lord and personal saviour.
As much as this secret has been revealed to us that hell is better imagined than experienced, many still find it difficult to give their life to Christ, and live a life of righteousness and holiness pleasing to God.
Little did we know that we do not have all the years to keep God waiting, the time is short, Christ is coming soon, and we can die anytime, so the need to accept Jesus Christ today and never delay.
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
No man can guarantee he will live a thousand years here on earth, no one can add a second to his days, no one can determine what will happen tomorrow, many plan for hundred years to come, many store up treasures for years to come, but do not know their life can end withing a minute, for life is just like a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Tomorrow is a place of uncertainty, its a place of mystery locked up in darkness, God never promises us tomorrow... Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. He only gives today, so you have got today to decide your eternity.
You have only today to decided if you will end your life in an eternity of bitter Experience or eternity of peaceful experience.
God has already provided the way of salvation. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died to save us from our sins and rose again from the dead to give us new life. Through faith in Him you can be prepared for the life beyond.
Christ said , "He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life" (John 5:24)
You believe and follow Christ by forsaking all unrighteousness that makes you a sinner before God, these are manifest in the works of the flesh Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Today is the day to forsake all and give your life to Christ, you never can tell if you will see the end of the day, you never can tell if tomorrow will actually come, you never can tell if you will live more years on earth.. Now is the time to seek redemption in Christ Jesus
As many who has given their life to Christ but still struggling with sin, now is the time to make a total decision to forsake sin and put on the new nature of Christ.. Don't get to hell and regret.
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Once you die, there is no amendment, you shall be judged with all you did as at the time of your death.
If you die today without Christ, your next destination is hell.
Don't die to end up in eternal bitter Experience, today is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be too late. Give your life to Christ now.
