Choosing the good Path
Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Our God is a supreme being, He created all things and has power over all things, He created man in His own spiritual image to show forth His glory in a new kingdom called earth.
As much as God is a supreme being who has power to enforce everything on man which man has no option that to comply, yet He gave man the ability to choose what He desires and the path to follow. Man was given the freewill to choose what is right or what is wrong,
God is not a wicked being, so with love He always reveals the consequences of whatever choice we make out of two options He gave.
In the garden of Eden after the creation of man, God gave man instructions of what to do and not to do in the garden, He further reveals what would happen for each of man's decision.
Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
But sadly man choose the wrong path through the deceit of Satan and the consequences was banishment and death. The choice man made in the garden is still what every human suffers for till today.
Joshua in like manner after dividing the promise land to the tribes of Israel and was stricken in age called all the children of Israel and gave them the choice that will be beneficial to them in latter time.
Joshua 23:6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left; 23:7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them: 23:8 But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.
God is always kind and loving to give the good choice for man, He has always communicated the good path of life to man. Jesus Christ the son of God communicated the same kind of God to His disciples and by extension to us that believe in Him.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
God has showed the way to salvation which leads to His kingdom through the death, resurrection and accession to heaven of His Son Jesus Christ, that by Him whosoever that believes in Him will not person but have everlasting lif. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
You have been shown the way, the end thereof is life and eternal peace, but there is another way that leads to eternal damnation, sorrow, and agony... But God is saying chose the path of life.
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
There are many ways that seems to be the way of life, there may be some ways that looks too good, but the end is always sorrow and death.
You choose the right path by walking according to the commandments of God, by doing His will, and by living righteously with fellow men.
Also by living justly, having mercy on others and by walking humbly with God.
Forsaking the ways of sin and cleaving with Christ till the end is the sure way of choosing the right path.
You do yourself good by choosing the path to life and not the path to death.
Judas chooses the path to death and His record was wiped off from the record of the disciples, the choice has been given to you but I beseech you to choose the path to life.
God bless you.
