Entrustment
Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
Entrustment is to commit (something) in trust to; confide, as for care, use, or performance, it is for a steward to be given a commitment o responsibility in hope that he will perform well according to his ability.
As a believer in Christ, we have been entrusted with many things of which the Lord of all will request of us an account of how we have managed His resources.
Consider the parable of Jesus Christ to the disciples concerning a husbandman
Matthew 21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
The householder planted the vineyard all by himself, dressed it, and let it out to a caretaker, so at the end of a season there could be profit, harvest, results from the vineyard.
Just like God has given you all manner of spiritual gifts to nurture, as he has given you all manner of resources to care for, has He has given you a home to maintain so godly generations can come from it, some has been given a ministry to care for. Whatsoever you have been given is an entrustment, you are only a steward who will give account at the end of a season.
V 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. 21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
Now the appointed time came, for accountability, a time to bring forth fruit from the vineyard, a time to give account of stewardship, but sadly, the steward became wicked, he became greedy.
In such manner you are also acting wickedly on the resources, gift of the spirit, marriage or ministry God has placed in your care, you have become greedy with what God has entrusted in your care, forgetting that everything belongs to God including your life.
21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. 21:37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
On several occasions God has been sending messages to you, to warn, redirect and caution you from your wickedness and act of greediness, yet you turn a deaf ear,
But lo and behold, the husbandman, the owner is coming soon, to take away what belongs to Him, and leave you empty has you have been before
Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. [11]Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
As you have not been faithful in the little things God has entrusted into your hands, how well will you be found worthy to oversee greater things?
Some whom God would have given the privilege to be general oversea of great ministry were not faithful in the little fellowship God committed in their hands... Either while on campus or in their local church, so God gave it to another who is found to be faithful.
Some who would have become national wealth couldn't manage the little riches God gave them, so He withheld His blessings.
The spiritual gifts given to you is an entrustment, which must bear fruits for God and gives God glory... You. Must not be greedy with it
The ministry God has committed in your hands is an entrustment, it is not yours, you must minister according to the will and direction of God, bearing fruit for the owner and never become wickedly in taking the glory for yourself.
The home God has given you is an entrustment, your wife, husband and children should be the fruits of righteousness, godliness, love, peace, joy and God's grace, you must not act wickedly to them as you will give account of your stewardship one day.
Everything you have is en entrustment, including your life, the owner will request for it one day. Will you be found faithful?
Think about it.
God bless you.
