Not by Quantity but it's Quality
2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
Our acceptability before God is not defined by the quantity of time, worship, service, offerings or sacrifices we offer to God, but the guilty of what we offer.
It is not the quantity of our faith that matters but the quality of faith that matters before God.
Many believers has lived a life of self appreciation and self satisfaction of their works and services to God.
Many appreciates the quantities of things done in the house of God or for God rather than the quality of it. Such like the numbers of fasting days rather than the time when their heart is actually connected in the spirit during fasting... Many boast of how much they brought to the house of God, rather than the motive behind thier giving.
At a time of giving donations to the house of God during the days of Jesus Christ, He explained the diffence between giving quantity and quality to God.
Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 12:42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 12:43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 12:44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
Jesus emphasised that the poor widow's contribution weigh more than all the rich brought because she offered all that she had which comes from a good motive.
9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
Apostle Paul teaches the believers at Corinth about acceptable giving... Whoever that will give must give with a cheerful and humble heart, not grudgingly or a means to have return or to be socially known.... This define the quality of our giving before God
1 Corinthians 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Gold, silver, and precious stones are always small in quantity but high in quality, whereas wood, hay, and stubble are always high in quantity and low in quality. Wood, hay, and stubble cannot stand the test of fire, but gold, silver, and precious stones can. We will be judged at the judgment seat of Christ not according to the quantity but according to the quality of our work.
The quality God wants from us is the consecration of our heart to Him.
What is the quality of what you are giving to God today?, if you give grudgingly or with a bad motive, then your giving has become unacceptable before God.
Whatsoever you are giving to God, let it be of good quality, and not just quantity... Every of man's work will be tested by fire... Will your work withstand the fire?
Check your life and your relationship with God.
God bless you.
