God's Enemy
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
God has enemies, His enemies are anyone who refuses to bow to his authority. He is the creator of all things, and every thing He crated must be subject to His commands.
Satan was the first enemy of God, who thought withing himself to raise his throne above that of God, but he was condemned to hell. As satan becomes God's enemy so also is anyone who walks inline with the works evil.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
The first characteristic of an enemy of God is for anyone to love the world, the world has been corrupted by sin, and the pleasure of it leads to hell. If one loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Those who love the activities of this world do not love the father, because, they are always obsessed with the things of this world and so desire to get it at all cost forgetting God is the owner of all things, they loves the pattern of sin. This patterns are clearly classified to be Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like
Philippians 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Anyone who hates the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, who hate the salvation provided in Christ Jesus which was perfected on the cross of calvary is automatically an enemy of God.
God desires to always be with us, He loved us more than what we can ever imagine, this was sacrificially expressed by giving out His only begotten son to die for us when we are yet sinner. But it is our iniquities that has separated us from our loving father and makes us His enemy.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
God is all-knowing, everything that we do or about to do is already known to Him, so we can never deceive God by our religious activities when our heart is far away from His righteousness and holiness. Everyone who desire to be a friend of God instead of an enemy should depart from evil.
You can't be a friend of God and still love the world, you just have to love one and hate the other.
Check your life today, you may claim to be a child of God, dedicated member in His house, committed to His service and yet be an enemy of God, because there are still elements of sin in you.
Turn away from your wicked ways and stop being an enemy of God.
No one becomes His enemy and still have eternal life... Their end is hell..
Today is the day of repentance, tomorrow may be too late.
