Bribery is a Sin

Ecclesiastes 7:7 Surely oppression destroys a wise man’s reason, And a bribe debases the heart.

Bribery is the making of illegal payment, or bribes, to persons in official positions as a means of influencing their decisions

Bribery is an act of untruthfulness, a means to cut conners instead of following due process. 

People pay bribe in other to extort another person's justifiable right, while many others pay bribe to distorts judgment, both the person that  pays and the person that collect bride are sinners before God.. 

Deuteronomy 27:25
[25]‘Cursed is the one who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’

God specifically gave laws to His people after the Exodus from slavery, this is to guide them towards good living as they coexist among eachother. One of these laws is that "cursed is the one who takes bride to slay an innocent person". 

This kind of crime is gradually growing among people today, people takes money to murder another person who has done nothing wrong, this has lead to shedding of innocent bloods. Both the giver and the taker are at the verge of God's anger if they fail to repent. 

Exodus 23:6-8 You shall not pervert the judgment of your poor in his dispute. Keep yourself far from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked. And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the discerning and perverts the words of the righteous.

Bribe is an act of corruption in justice by which the Judge's favour is persuaded by a gift. When a society has resorted to bribes in its justice system, it has become a corrupted society in which there is no real integrity. Justice is always twisted when a bribe is involved. 

Bribery always goes along with evil intentions, if you stand for what is right and true, then you do not need to bribe. 

Do not give or take bribe, it is a sin before God, and it destroys a man's integrity. Stand for what is true no matter the  pain involved. 

Bribery is a sin. And all sinners shall end in the lake of fire, repent today, restitute where applicable and save yourself from eternal agony.
