When His Grace becomes your disgrace

Joshua  7:5 And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.  7:6 And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.

There was a time someone said, "those who carry the Grace of God in their life can never be disgraced", at some point I agree to it but the case was very different with Joshua and the Israelite..

God had first made a vow to Joshua, that He will be with him, and every land he so step his leg on shall be given to him... Not only that, the physical representation of the presence of God is always with him (the Ark of covenant). What else can stop Joshua from succeeding?.

There comes a war between Israel and the little city of Ai, it is very humiliating for Israelite to go in the battle with the whole army, so a few soldiers were appointed to fight... But, the end story wasn't palatable.

Joshua wept, the elders became sorrowful, after suffering from the greatest defeat of their life. Though endowed with the grace of God, both physical and spiritual, yet they were severely disgraced. 

Dear reader, the grace of God on your life can become disgrace, His anointing can become ordinary oil, your prayers can become noise, His safe house can become unsafe if you keep company with an enemy of God. 

Your life may suffer disgrace if you associate yourself with those God has rejected, 

Prayers may not be answered, your expectations may become cut short if you embrace what God dislike. 

Until Abraham disassociate himself from Lot, then he was able to receive God's promises. 

Until Achan was identified and judged, before the grace of God upon their life becomes active. 

What have you embraced in your life that has turn the grace of God in your life to disgrace? 

What are you holding that makes your anointing impotent any longer? 

Who are you keeping company with, that is making heaven to be closed upon your life? 

Disassociate your life today 

When His Grace becomes your disgrace, check your life and humble yourself before God.. 

Joshua went back to God and wept bitterly, then God reveal to him, the solution. 

You too can do the same... God bless you.

1. Lord thank you for another day like this in Jesus name. 

2. God, I humble myself before you, reveal to me, what is turn your grace in my life to disgrace in Jesus name. 

3. Help and save me from my present disgrace on Jesus name.
