The Great Commission
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
After the great torment and vigorous death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, he was buried and to the glory of God resurrected in the newness of His glory, this sealed the process of our salvation in God...
Nevertheless on the third day after resurrection, He charged his disciples (everyone at Galili, not only the twelve disciples) that they should continue to preach the Gospel of salvation unto everyone wherever they go to.
It is obvious in latter days that many thought the commission of preaching is only restricted to pastors, evangelist, prophets and minsters of God... Those who have received calling..
That is a wrong perspective to look from, Jesus gave the commission unto everyone who has believed him, once you are saved, you are implore to preach to others so they too can come to the light of Christ which you are into.
There are several ways to preach the Gospel of Christ, not until you receive a calling from God.
One : you preach through your character and behaviour... The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
But is sad today that our Character is even the reason many are running away from the Gospel of truth
You don't act what you believed, an unbeliever's character is even better than most believers... If Christ surely lives in you, then you ought to profess and show forth the fruit of Him in you... When people see you, they should see Christ.
Two: verbally preaching the Gospel... You may be shy to go to the street and preach, but in so many ways God has given you opportunities to preach.. Such as... Your place of work, school(amongst your friends) in your neighbourhood etc.
Three : electronically... This is the simplest way to preach, there are so many social media platforms available, WhatsApp, Facebook, twitter etc.. All you need to do is send the message and back it up with prayer, it may not make sense at the moment, but God who works in us will perform His wonder.
Now my question to you dear reader... How many souls have you preached to since you have been saved?
If your answer is bringing doubt, then you have been stingy of God's grace, you have been a liability to God rather than asset.
When Jesus shall call everyone home, millions and thousands of souls should rise on your record.
There is still time, as long as you are alive. Preach the Gospel anyhow godly you can, God will make it right in the heart of those you preach to...
