I never knew you.

Matthew  7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Imagine being a marketer in a banking sector, haven't drawn massive  customers to the bank, spending your time and resources working day and night just to make sure people have an account, not just account but active ones.

And at the end of the month thousands of customers were recorded on your name, but you receive the shock of your life because your name is not on the payroll for that month... Ho

After displaying so much drama, the bank manger came down and said ' Mr man, we don't know you here'. With a sincere heart how will you feel?, just when you are about to receive the reward for a job well done... Is it the debt you incur on transportation you want to account or the stress of sleeplessness?

Brethren, do you know that is how it will be that day... Yes.. On the last day.

Multitudes in the Church today are blessed with a tremendous anointing to move in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. During church services, prophecies, words of wisdom or words of knowledge seem to just flow out of them (...have we not prophesied in thy name?).

Many have stood face to face with some of the most wicked spirits that hell could produce, casting them out of their victims, and sending them limping back to the abyss (...and in thy name cast out devils?).

Still others have built large and far reaching ministries and mega-churches. They have fed the poor, supplied relief and funds to third world countries. They have seen multitudes come to Jesus and receive salvation and physical healing (...and in thy name done many wonderful works?). As they stand before the Lord of Lords expecting to hear "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...enter thou into the joy of thy Lord" (Matthew 25:21). His words will ring in their ears throughout eternity."... I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

These groups will also include many Sunday School teachers, pastors and evangelists. Song leaders, choir members and musicians may also be in these numbers, along with elders, deacons and ushers. From the most influential member to the least, many run the risk of being rejected entrance to the kingdom of heaven.

Have a religious life style and doing religious work is nit a prove of having a home with God after death, Jesus said 'I never new you'

These sets of people are not the unsaved, in fact these sets of people posses the gifts of the spirit a man can think of...

Do you remember Judas was among the twelve Jesus sent out to preach after he had given them power (Luke  9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.  9:2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.)

Yes at the end Judas was a castaway...

The problem we have today is we raised church doctrines, religiosity rather than the intimacy with God, and we believe that is actually the will of God for our lives

We pick a verse of the Bible without understanding the contextual meaning, or receiving the holy spirit interpretation, but just to suit our selfish purposes.

Many will cry that day. For ever working in vain here on heart.

The question you should ask yourself is that, 'do I have intimacy with God?'

If churches seize to exist today, do you still have God's presence in you?

Another reason some people will be rejected with their works on that day is their inequity...

We may think inequity here is the sins we are very familiar with, but from text read, these sets of people are very sure they kept all the law as of God, no fornication, adultery, idolatry, killing etc.

But, many does the works of God, without the consent, direction or presence of God.

Many of church activities, are not from God's inspirations, and are never backup by God... Because they lack intimacy with God.

Peter was on the sea with Jesus, but the moment he lost focus, he started sinking.

Many ministers of the Gospel has lost focus today, and they thought they are Woking for God..

Same as members who tonight religious activities, mode of dressing, choice of food, and act of service is the way to heaven..

Don't be that fellow who will regret at the last day.

Get connected with God, don't just know God, let Him recognise you.

God bless you.

Prayer key:

1. Lord, thank you for another day like this in Jesus name.

2. Lord, Help me not to miss it on the last day in Jesus name.

3. Help me to have intimacy with you in Jesus name.

4. Thank you for answered prayers in Jesus name. Amen.
