Do not doubt His promise.
2 Kings 7:1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
7:2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
It was a time of famine, it was a time of scarcity, people are hungry, life is hard for everyone, including the children of God, no one is exempted, even men of God are not left out.
In spite all this a true man of prophecy, a man of God who was led by the spirit of God, a man of God who speaks not for recognition or fame.... He declared by the next day, a bad of rice will be sold for five thousand naira, a bad of cement will be sold for six hundred naira, petrol will be sold for fifty naira per litter.. Storage right? But that was what God declared through His servant Elisha
To the look of man, we will conclude the man of God is drunk, how can that people possible with the present economic melt down, with imbalance in the market, this made an official who is an economic expert, a finance minister counter the words of prophet Elisha
But when God speaks, who can stop it?, prophet Elisha returned with God's word that And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
What angers God the most, is for you to doubt His promises when He gives you one, He honours His word more than His name... Whatever He says always come to pass.
Many of us are still in problem and difficulty because we often doubt the promises of God, we often believe His promises is impossible just because we have suffered a long time or we estimated how it will come to pass with our own human understanding.
God's promises can never bear fruit where doubt is the soil... His promises germinate on a soil of faith, and it grows with patience.
What has God promised you today?, what have you been praying for?, rebuke doubt in your heart and activate faith... In no time His promises will come to pass and you shall see, experience it and praise God.
