Why the righteous suffer

Hebrews  2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

In this world, there are mysteries that until we get to heaven, we might not be able to unravel. If you are to consider deeply, do you think people  who are holy, righteous, and faithful deserve sufferings, persecution, afflictions or tribulations?

A Bible scholar once said, "Holiness and righteousness are no antidote to Christian's sufferings." this may sound so awkward but it is unavoidable truth, that you are righteous or holy does not guarantee your immunity against persecutions or sufferings.

No Christian would disagree with this if he/she takes after the master Jesus Christ who suffered all for our sake.

Abraham, the father of faith, only became a father at hundred. Was that because of his sins?, as devoted as Zechariah was in his peaceful service, he was denied having child until when he was Well stricken in age.

If all apostles could face their own fair share of persecution and tribulation for preaching the gospel, then how shall we escape such?, Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith was bullied, blackmailed, humiliated, and tortured before he was eventually crucified for an offence he didn't commit.

If Jesus Christ was made perfect through suffering, you cannot avoid going through some sort of bashing whether verbally, physically, psychologically or otherwise.

However, you are not alone in this. Jesus is with you. Only ensure that you are not suffering as a thief, gossip, murder  or for any other crime.

We shall understand bye and bye when we shall see our Lord face to face.

God bless you.
