Who touched Me?
Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
In the midst of a crowd of people, pushing and pressing, the Lord Jesus asked a shocking question, WHO TOUCHED ME? This story is tucked between two events. A synagogue ruler had requested Jesus to come and heal his daughter, on the way, the crowd pressed on Jesus, but someone reached and touched Him.
The interlude thus become the main event; all because one woman was bold enough to reach out, demonstrating great faith and resolution.
Just as the Lord Jesus said, Not all who call me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom, not all who came in contact with Jesus received a miracle. This story simply tells us that touching Jesus is based on some principles, not just physical demonstration.
The truth is that not all who come to church really come to church. The woman said in her heart, "if only I can touch Jesus I know I shall be made whole. What a resolute inward desire and not hypocritical physical religious activities. The touch started in the heart.
This woman made Jesus her only hope, is Jesus your only option or route of escape in that challenge? The woman had faith in Jesus, she placed the ultimate value on Jesus' ability to deliver her.
Without kneeling down for prayers, virtue was released. Virtue releases virtue. Though the multitudes were forcefully pressing on Jesus, none touched Him.
A gentle touch of determination and faith at the tip of His garment was recognised by the display of power. Do you also place so much value on Jesus from your heart like this woman? The state of your heart is a major determinant of your deliverance and who you are in God
Always make Him your only hope and you will never be disappointed.
God bless you.
