The God of peace

Philippians  4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Peace is freedom from anxiety or distress; it is the state of tranquility or a period in which there is no war or war has ended
   
It is the stability of heart and mind in the midst of confrontations or adversities, Peace is the state of calmness and restfulness in the midst of pressures or ‘urgencies’
 
God himself is the peace of the universe which is evidence in His  uncommon love he has shown towards man.

In the garden of Eden, God ensure calmness and peace are instituted before man was created. Even so when sin came to this world which gave birth to evil, trouble, calamities, war, anxiety and adversity, God never stop to reveal His peace towards man from time to time among His people.

The peace of God is needed to withstand and overcome the regular pressures and troubles of this world (John 16:33)

You need the peace of God so that you don’t die before your time, it is also  needed to confront and conquer sudden storms that may arise in your journey of life (Mark 4:35-39)

The storms of life, at times, arise without warning, and they come to put pressure on your life, the peace of God is needed for the manifestation of God's power to take effect in our life, it becomes a comfort for our broken heart.

When the children of Israelite got to the red sea, there was fear  and anxiety, but God instructed moses to speak to the children of Israel to hold their peace, for they will be delivered

Before salvation, redemption, deliverance and victory can be attained, one must  first hold unto the peace of God

It is this peace that gives confidence in the face of fear and death, just like David was so confident before the mighty Goliath

It is the kind of peace Elijah has when he requested food from the widow of Zarephat , because he knows the God he serve is a God of abundance

So today, whatever you are going through, whatever pain is in your heart, whatever thing that is bringing tears from your eyes, let the peace of of God fill your heart and wait for His salvation, because your testimony shall abound, it is a a first aid before the actual treatment.
