He that keepeth his mouth

Proverbs 13:3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

The tongue is a very powerful organ of the body that has the ability to destroy life and also recreate life

As a believer, not everything we thought of saying should ever come out of our mouth especially words of anger, hate, curses etc,... Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Devil is always waiting for that foul, profane, worthless, vulgar words to come out so as to use it against your life.

Spiritual maturity is evidenced by the use of the tongue, those who have been completely transformed in the newness of life in Christ are mastery of it.

Those who threaten or revile other people open themselves to revenge and backlash. The person who speaks without thinking, or without control, may make rash promises that he does not keep.

He may insult others or lie or tell secrets or offer unsound advice. He may gossip or criticize others unjustly. His careless, harsh language will rebound to harm him.

Eve got into trouble because she could not bridle her mouth from exposing the top secret God gave them to the devil. It destroyed the life of peace of the whole human race.

Many has got themselves into trouble, irreversible pain, and led many to early grave because of what came out of their mouth. Those who keep their mouth save themselves from destruction.

Some have expose themselves and their family to the enemy because they could not keep the secret of their life to themselves, Samson exposed himself and died with his enemy.

Put a bridle on your mouth, be guided by the spirit of God, know when to speak and when to keep silence so as not to bring danger upon yourself. He that keeps his mouth, saves himself from death.

God bless you.
