The Spirit of Daniel

Ezekiel  14:14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

When the question, "Are there still Daniels today," was asked in one of the Sundays school lesson, there are many reactions. Some agreed that there are no people like Daniel any longer in the society, while some were of the opinion that there are Daniels. Another set of people said that even if there are Daniels, the society would not allow them to perform 

The true story of Daniel inspires outstanding spiritual qualities, great and excellent character which a believer must enviably emulate.

This was not without his sacrifices, devotion, faith and steadfastness to YAHWEH. His unalloyed live and faith in JEHOVAH set him in high pedestal among his contemporaries,

Nothing can be as futile as reading from the first chapter of the book of daniel to the last chapter, and yet not ignite to be upstanding and outstanding for  God.

The first time we would hear about this faith hero was when he distinguished himself and risked his life, by not eating the King's meal, it would have been a great problem if the king should know about it, but at the end, He stand out. 

He stood by the words of God and never compromise the standard of God even in a foreign land despite all difficulties

In the book of Ezekiel, God himself made reference to his faith and dedication and diligence in His words and command 

The spirit of Daniel is the spirit of total surrender to God in divinity, courage, righteousness and holiness. 

God is still in search of people like Daniel who will stand against the nebuchadnezzar of this generation, who will not be afraid of going to the lions for not compromising their truth and dignity.

You can't represent God well like Daniel in this generation while still desiring the King's meal, you can't be Daniel of this generation and still be afraid to openly declare God is Lord.

Can God entrust His word in your hands as He did with  Daniel in this generation? It is not too late to stand for God and be His mouthpiece. 

Don't disappoint God in your generation.

1. Lord, thank you for the blessing of today in Jesus Christ name. 

2. Lord, give me the grace to represent you well in this generation in Jesus Christ name. 

3. Lord, endow me with the Spirit of Daniel, to stand against every nebuchadnezzar of my generation in Jesus Christ name. 

4. Thank you Lord for answered prayers in Jesus Christ name.
