A Wise Choice

2 Kings  2:9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

Making choices in life always bring man to the junction of decision, because whatever a man decides at that crucial moment will either make or mar a man

Such was the case with Elisha when His master was about to be taken away from him, this can be best represented today as retirement, and he was presented with an open cheque.

What would anyone have wished for, if not for materials things, riches and wealth, to better one's life or to have financial security. Elisha could have requested to be famous or have the largest number of followers or even requested that the inheritance of Elijah be willed to him. But he requested for a double power(anointing) which his master himself cannot grant

This would have been the most stupid request any man would ask, knowing fully well that granting the request is not in the hands of man but God. Yet, he received just as he wish. It was a wise choice which paid off.

Also with king Solomon, after making the most astonishing sacrifice which moved the heart of God at the completion of the glorious temple, God gave him an open check to ask for what he want.

He didn't ask for riches, neither did he ask for all his enemy to die at once, but he asked for wisdom to rule the people well according to the will of God.  More than he requested, God blessed him with riches, wealth that is beyond human comprehension.

Daniel chose not to defy himself with the portion of the king's meat, but to stay holy and dedicated to the righteousness of God, even in the foreign land. He was honoured at the long run.

What choice/choices are you making for your life today? If God should give you an open check today, would you not mess it up with your indecision to arrive at a choice Or rather chose the foolish things?

For the bible says in Matthew  6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The best and wise choice you can ever make is to chose God first, and all other thing will be added for you. God created all things, it is unwise to chose anything less.

It is not too late to make the wise and best choice. God bless you.
