Michal mocked King David

2 Samuel  6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

Michal was the daughter of King soul whom was married off to long David after the defeat of Goliath. Long David had just brought the ark of the Lord back to Jerusalem and put of joy, he danced among the people. 

While the ark was being conveyed, Michal had no pleasure in celebrating the arrival of the Ark, because her heart was far from God's work. She was looking on the proceedings with disgust and not with joy. She was sarcastic in her remarks to long David concerning his behaviour. 

Michal resented David parading himself before the people. David had exchanged his royal clothing for the linen ephod of a priest. In doing such, he mingled with the common people in the celebration to bring the eek into Jerusalem. 

Seeing Michael's expression and utterance, King david reminded her it was God who found him worthy better than her father is the recipient of the worship, praise and dancing. These incidence made her barren till her death. 

Her behaviour towards king David is the same as many people today, believers inclusive who finds it difficult to rejoice with those who are celebrating or succeeding, but instead, they gossip and made their heart filled with hatred and disgust 

Those who are alway bittered about another person's success, joy, happiness and progress in life alway finds it difficult to succeed of progress too. 

King david did not pronounce evil against her, but her bitter heart automatically made her barren for the rest of her life.. 

What is your attitude towards those who are celebrating, succeeding, and excelling?, don't always be filled with bitterness or resentment or gossip about them, if your joy is yet to come, wait and pray for it, having a jitter heart against another can hinder your blessings and progress in life. 

Check your heart today, let the spring of joy, happiness comes out of it. 

Celebrate with people and your own joy will come. Don't be like Michal.
