Jesus rejected at Nazareth

Luke  4:28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,  4:29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

Nazareth was the home city of Christ where He was brought up, he came down to the city to teach the words of God after He departed from the wilderness in the power of God.

He thought in their synagogue the good tidings of God, and quoting the prophecies of prophet Isaiah as a confirmation and fulfilment of the mind of God.

But as religious as they were, they could not comprehend the fact that a whole messiah  would come from a very lowly town and a common and familiar  carpenter. They doubted His authenticity to be the true son of God.

They either want the messiah to descend from heaven full of power and grace,. And to totally restore the government to native Israel. But the way of God is not known to man. They missed the grace of God and the wonderful works of salvation Christ would have done among them.

In like manner are many people today including the believers who has one way or the other rejected or neglected the blessings and deliverance of God that came to them in small packages. 

Jesus Christ could not perform great wonders in His native town because of their unbelief attitude. Matthew  13:57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.  13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.. 

Sometimes, the promises of God for your life will become withheld if you, as the recipient fail to believe in the God who has made the promises. 

Today, hope you have not sent Jesus Christ away because of the manner of approach the word of truth came to you? 

Have you not missed the blessings of God purposed for your life  because of the channel through which God worked with? 

The Jews who crucified Jesus on the cross many years ago are still waiting for the promised messiah, don't die of ignorance when the truth is rightly sitting by your side. 

Believing in God and having total trust in him will give you access to enjoy the premium blessings of God. 

Do not send Christ away because of your unbelief. But if you shall believe in Christ the son of God, you will be saved and your household in every areas of life you needed Him.
