Imitation is limitation

Jeremiah  10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

This world seems not to really have identity of itself, the truth is, so many people are not original at all. These people prefer to live synthetic, artificial and copied life.

When a man believes the best he could be, the life he should live and his expected hopes and aspirations are all of that  of another individual, such man is counterfeiting himself.

This happens a lot in the business world, most products and services are just direct imitation of others. This isn't helping the economy in any way expected.

As a child of God, you are not permitted to aspire to want to be like others. Jeremiah warned the exiled Jews not to learn the ways of the strange land so that they would not be ensnared.

The only person, and of course, the only supernatural being we should long to imitate is our Lord Jesus Christ, The perfect and  holy one. 

If we imitate Christ, we are qualified to be called His followers. Learn from the good examples and be inspired to be your best in all ways.

Christians who compare themselves with non-Christians, and even with other Christians are limiting themselves. They can't reach the full maturity of Christ, because such imitation limits.

Many times, you do not even know  the motive behind some actions, yet you are tempted to copy and compare. What a great error. Christians are called to be unique, peculiar and honourable. The word should strive to imitate us, and not  us trying to be like them..

In the quest for excellence, God has created us differently with special gifts and talents which makes us distinct from another, copying or imitating another is an abuse of destiny which will definitely result in perpetual failure. 

May you receive the grace to be resolute to avoid imitations of this world that can limit God's plans for your life both in physical and in spirit in Jesus Christ name.

1. Lord, thank you for the blessing of today in Jesus Christ name. 

2. Lord, hp me to avoid every form of imitation that can limit my destiny in Jesus Christ name 

3. I receive the grace never to conform to the corrupt standard of this wicked world in Jesus Christ name.
