God's employment letter
1 Kings 17:9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
Getting employed in the circular world requires certain qualifications which are not only to reflect on the paper called CV, but also must reflect in the exhibition of such talents, proving one's ability and capacity.
Before the employer conduct assessment test, you personally must have tested your capability so as not to disgrace yourself while being interviewed.
But in God's case, an employee of God may not even know or have confidence in himself that he is able to function in the office God wants to employ him into, but God who sees better than man sees himself can never be wrong.
In the reign of king Ahab, prophet elijah declared famine in the land of Israel, this will definitely affect him also and from his ministry journey, it appears he has no wife nor family he could aboard with. So God took it upon himself to employ a cook, that will see to his welfare for the time the famine will pass. 1 Kings 17:9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
The person in question does not have the resources needed for the task God is about to give her, neither was Elijah coming with provisions by which he would be taken care of. In fact she only have a measure of food that is left for her and her children for that day.
The act of God in this situation is to award a contact to someone without mobilisation fee and even the person is in the debt, no company or government would ever do that. But God did.
She said.. 1 Kings 17:11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. 17:12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
Truthfully, she can cook, she has the knowledge and understanding, but there is no resources. An appointment letter was presented to her, without stating the salary or benefits.
All she needed to do is to accept according to God's will, because before God, she has been destined to be employed as Elijah's cook for the period of the famine.
Glory to God that she obliged and accepted the offer, the resources came and she never lack all things she wanted for life.
In the same manner God is presenting you an employment letter, it doesn't show what your salary will be like, or any benefits or resources needed, all you need is to accept.
Yours may be to preach the Gospel through out cities and nations, yours may be an act of giving, yours may be counseling and word of encouragement or an act of kindness.
One thing you must know is that, resources will not come until you have accepted and be willing to His terms and conditions.
How are you responding to God's employment letter today?, no one that has ever work for God diligently regret in their life.
God is calling you, answer the call.
God bless you.
