Depend on God
James 4:13-14
[13]Look here, you people who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to such and such a town, stay there a year, and open up a profitable business.”
[14]How do you know what is going to happen tomorrow? For the length of your lives is as uncertain as the morning fog—now you see it; soon it is gone.
Men often live like they will live forever, however life is short in comparison to eternity.
Many who have died in our ancestry only tow or three generations in the past are forgotten even by great grandchildren.
In the context of the verse above, James attacks those, who in their zeal to consume this world upon themselves, are ignoring their responsibility to serve God.
Every man must come to understand that the things of this world is passing away. Once one comprehends that this world will soon be gone in reference to his life, he will often focus on those things that are beyond life.
James 4:15
[15]What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we shall live and do this or that.”
James used 'If', in assumption that one may not know what transpires in huis life. therefore, he should walk according to the direction of the word of God in his pursuit to maintain sustenance for life.
In every aspect of life one should prayerfully petition God to work on his behalf.
Some are materialist, and were self-confident because of their financial power, political power, educational power, but all this were vain glory. Many have failed, in the face of death money becomes useless, political power does not last..
Today what do you depend on?, in all you do, depend on God, and always make reference that if God wills, 'these things will happen'
Only God can guarantee tomorrow and not your wealth, political power or educational power.
God bless you.

2. Lord help me to depend on you in all my life
3. Lord as I do not know tomorrow, Lord walk me through by your grace in Jesus christ name. Amen.
