Second Offender

John  8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus John  8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

a person convicted of a criminal offence for the first time. Many systems impose a lesser punishment and try to avoid imprisonment lest the offender become worse in such a crime.

A sin committed for the first time is sometimes considered as a mistake and  ignorant, such person in the act acutely does not have a criminal record before hand.

Such is the case of a newly convert believed, where there is no law, there is definitely no sin, the moment you accept Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savour, you have a set sown rules and guidelines to follow, laws to obey (though in grace), these are to guide us through the principles of Christ we have just received.

In the process of salvation, we are washed and cleansed by the precious  blood of Jesus Christ, making us whole in him, we are given a clean record of no crime...

But in most cases many of us fall into temptation of sin, making us register our names in the book of sin of the devil... These makes us first offender of crimes before God. In Him infinite mercy He will save us when we call to Him haven't looked into our heart of humility.

Such is the case of the woman found in adultery, Jesus told her. "go and sin no more" just as we are being told to go and sin no more after falling into one temptation or the other.

But sadly today many us become second, and consistent offenders of the same sin, we become addicted to the sin God has saved us from. We keep provoking God all in the name of hiding under sin..  Such people becomes adamant in sin thinking God's grace is sufficient... Even when the Bible says  "Romans  6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?,"

Are you not also second offender today?, your life is prone to the attacks of the devil of you remain in the life of sin.

Today is the day to make the final decision to be free from that sin totally in other to enjoy the faithfulness and grace of God.

God bless you.
