Be Humble

Daniel  5:22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

It is no gain saying like achievement, status, position, wealth and endowment (gifts and talent) have made some people to stumble.

It is better no to be wealthy, influential or gifted, than to be and develop "who is God" attitude.

Nebuchadnezzar suffered the consequences of his pride, and his foolish son never learnt from the ordeal of the proud father. No wonder Daniel told him to his face,  Daniel  5:22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

Daniel tried to make him realise hiss foolishness, premised on thee fact that he refused to learn from his father's past mistakes. 

Pride is a major pitfall of the leader. To avoid this, the leader must acknowledge God as sovereign (what is your heart saying about God?) ; 

Never replace God with any other person/thing, acknowledge that everything comes from God. Position, power, wealth, wisdom, spouse, honour, etc 

Acknowledge that pride is an evil spirit and acknowledge that God honours the humble... 

Never forget devil was brought down because of his pride... So be Humble.

1. Lord, thank you for another day like this In Jesus name. 

2. Lord, I refuse to be disgraced from your presence in Jesus name. 

3. Lord, kill the spirit of pride in me and fill my heart with the spirit of humility in Jesus name.
