The greatest of thine Excellency

Exodus 15:6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. 15:7 And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

In Exodus 15, we witness the miraculous deliverance of the Israelites from the hands of the Egyptians as they crossed the Red Sea on dry land. Overwhelmed by the incredible display of God's power and faithfulness, Moses and the people of Israel burst forth in a song of praise and adoration. It is in this song that we find the profound verses of Exodus 15:6-7:

"Your right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power;

Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces.

And in the greatness of Your excellence

You have overthrown those who rose against You;

You sent forth Your wrath;

It consumed them like stubble."

These verses remind us of the greatness of our God, the One who fights for His people and triumphs over every obstacle and enemy. Let us delve deeper into the message conveyed through "The greatest of thine Excellency."

Firstly, we see that God's power is unmatched. The imagery of His right hand becoming glorious in power emphasizes His strength and authority. The right hand signifies a position of honour and authority, and it is through this mighty hand that God displayed His might and vanquished the enemy. 

Just as the Egyptians pursued the Israelites, seeking their destruction, we too face battles and challenges in our lives. Yet, we can take solace in the fact that our God is greater than any enemy we may encounter. His power is unmatched, and when we place our trust in Him, He fights on our behalf, leading us to victory.

Secondly, we witness the greatness of God's excellence. The verse proclaims that God's excellence is so great that it overthrows those who rise against Him. It is a reminder that no opposition can stand before the Lord. 

He is sovereign and rules over all. When we face trials and adversaries, let us remember that the excellence of our God is greater than any opposition we may face. His wisdom, goodness, and righteousness prevail over every challenge and injustice. In His excellence, He upholds justice, and He will ultimately overthrow all that opposes Him.

Thirdly, the passage speaks of God's righteous judgment. The wrath of God is depicted as consuming the enemies like stubble. While it may be challenging for us to comprehend the fullness of God's justice, we can rest assured that He is a God of righteousness and truth.

 His judgment is righteous and just. In a world filled with injustice and oppression, it is comforting to know that our God will ultimately bring justice and righteousness to prevail. We can trust in His judgment and find hope in the fact that He sees all things and will one day make all things right.

 The greatest of God's Excellency shines through in the victory and power of our God. He is the One who fights on our behalf, overthrowing every obstacle and enemy. His excellence is unmatched, and His righteous judgment will ultimately prevail. As we reflect on this passage from Exodus, let us find strength and encouragement in the greatness of our God.

May we never forget that the same God who parted the Red Sea and defeated the enemy is with us today. In times of struggle, opposition, and doubt, let us turn to Him, knowing that His power and excellency are working on our behalf. May we trust in His strength, walk in His victory,
