Our labor of love is not forgotten
Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
There are many employers who withheld the benefits of their employees, but God who has given us the privilege to be His servants in His vineyard is not an usurper who will not repay us for our labour of love towards the kingdom business.
The author of Hebrews begins by assuring us that God is not unjust. As believers, we can take great comfort in knowing that our God is a fair and just God. He sees our efforts, our sacrifices, and our love for Him and His people. He knows the countless hours we invest in His service, whether it is in our families, workplaces, communities, or the church. God never turns a blind eye to our labor of love.
The Scripture tells us that God will not forget our work and the love we have shown Him. Even in those moments when we feel invisible or unappreciated, God sees it all. He takes notice of every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, and every deed done in His name. Our labor of love is not in vain because God remembers it all.
In the passage, we are exhorted to show the same diligence to the very end. God desires us to persevere, to continue in our work for Him, and to love others selflessly. The journey of faith is not a sprint but a marathon. It requires endurance, patience, and unwavering commitment. We are encouraged to imitate the examples of those who have gone before us, who through faith and patience have inherited what God has promised.
Our labor of love is not forgotten because we serve a faithful God who keeps His promises. The fulfillment of our hope is assured when we persevere and remain steadfast in our commitment to God's work. God rewards those who diligently seek Him and serve His people. Our hope is not in vain, for God is faithful to bring about the realization of our hopes and dreams, both in this life and in the life to come.
Finally, let us take heart and find renewed strength in the knowledge that our labor of love is not forgotten. May we continue to serve God with diligence, perseverance, and unwavering faith.
Let us remember that our actions of love and service are not in vain, for God sees it all and promises to reward us according to His perfect will. As we press on, may we find encouragement in the assurance of God's justice, the remembrance of our work, the call to perseverance, and the fulfillment of our hope. May our lives be a living testimony of God's love and faithfulness. Amen.
