Divine Interruption before Intervention
Jeremiah 18:5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 18:6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
When the billows of life's storm roll on you as if you are going to fall, your cross seems to be very heavy as you proceed on your pilgrimage, and your boat tends towards capsizing, with no green light in sight, you surely need divine intervention.
The disciples were once in a boat terribly rocked by a raging storm, Jesus was there but they didn't know what to do. Glory be to God for Jesus' intervention in calming the storm.
When the three Hebrews were expected to be roasted in the fiery furnace, God intervened, when Daniel was expected to be meal to the lions, the faithful God intervened.
You also can look around you carefully and give contemporary examples of testimonies of God's faithfulness during the tempest of life.
However, before all these divine interventions, there were first and foremost interruptions from above. Jesus Christ, for instance, He interrupted the disciples, interrupted their programs and they surrendered. No wonder they enjoyed divine intervention throughout their ministries.
Had Moses refused God's interruption at Horeb, would he have enjoyed God's intervention before pharaoh and at Red Sea?
Saul of Tarsus was a Yahweh fundamentalist to the core, but had his plans, purpose and pursuit interrupted by God on his way to Damascus. Records abound of the great things God wrought through him.
As a believer in Christ, there would be a time in our life God would wish to interrupt our time line, we may have set out our plans for many years to come, in career, marriage, ministry, finances among others , but God desire he interrupt them for His glory and in return, His divine intervention is guaranteed.
Father Abraham wouldn't have become the father of faith and of many nations if he had not yielded to God's interruption of leaving his father's house, family and inheritance.
If you want to enjoy God's intervention always, you must allow Him to interrupt you, it is for your own good. God's interruptions are the ladders to His interventions.
God bless you.
