Accept your Limit

Deuteronomy  2:3 Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.

Do you live overloaded and overwhelmed?, like a driver who has lost his way, instead of stopping to ask for direction you increase your speed until you run out of fuel and end up on the side of the road.

We quote the promise in the scripture ; 'I can do all things through Him who gives me strength' (Philippians 4:13),  but God doesn't promise we can do all things we want to do, or all things people expect us to do, or all things others do.

God will only give us grace to do what He calls us to do. Prophet Isaiah writes : 'even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young man shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.

Few things humble us like failure. God will let us circle the same mountain over and over until the scenery becomes so familiar that we are forced to stop and ask for direction, especially when we know in our heart that we are not where God wants us to be.

God made the Israelite to circle a mounting over and over again when they deviated from his preplanned direction. When they realised their mistake, God showed them the way. 

The limit God has placed on you may be the present challenges you are facing, God made you to circle the level of hardship so as to train you when you have plenty or to correct your stubbornness 

David was given the limitation of not being able to build the temple for God, for He said, His hands are full of blood. It was not the blood of those he killed in battle but for the blood of the innocent shed in his hands. 

God can withheld prayer from being answered, he may stop the flow of blessing, manifestation of His power may be seized, this were limitations set to bring your senses back to God that you are on the wrong path. 

What is your most painful limitations? The one you won't admit? The one you don't want anybody to see? Acknowledge it, seek honest counsel. Ask God for help in accepting the limits He has placed on  you for your  own protection.

Accept your limit, seek God's face and turn back to His will.
