Three pathways to answered prayers.
Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Many times after I preach or during counselling session, people ask a question repeatedly, and the question is 'why has not answered my prayers after all my fasting and praying'.
Many are heartbroken and has begin to lose their faith in christ after so many days, months and years of waiting on God.
Some even question the breakthrough of their colleagues who didn't pray or do not pray as much they do but always have answers to prayers.
If you are in this situation, this message is for you.
The following are the three pathways through which God answers prayer and if critically studied, your prayers will be answered.
1. Faith: it means to belief, firm persuasion, assurance, firm conviction, faithfulness.
Faith is confidence in what we hope for and the assurance that the lord is working, even though we cannot see it. Faith knows that no matter what the situation, in our lives or someone else's that the lord is working in it. (Hebrew 11:1)
Faith is surrendering all your problems to to without thinking of how God will work it out. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding" Proverbs 3:5
2. Patience: We all want good things to happen in our lives, but too often we want it now...not later. When it doesn't happen that way, we are tempted to ask, "When, God, when?" Most of us need to grow in the area of trusting God instead of focusing on the "when" question.
God is the only one that knows the end from the beginning, He knows the philosophy of time, so he plans when prayers to be answered and when not, all not to His own benefit but for our won good.
When you pray, He uses times of waiting to stretch our faith in Him and to bring about change and growth in our lives. So I say
"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." Psalms 27:14
3. Holiness: The first requirement for answered prayer is a clean, obedient life. God’s ears are open to the righteous (1 Peter 3:12). The prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16). “Whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight” (1 John 3:22). When “the righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles . . .
You can't pray to God with an unholy and corrupted mind and expect God to answer such prayers..., you can hold grudges with fellow human, harbour evil, disobey the words and guidance of God and expect your prayers to be answered, no, it is not so... Psalms 27:14
All these are hindrances to prayers and has kept you in the dark for so long... Check you life today where you are missing it... It is not too late to make amends because Isaiah the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2
God bless you.
