Kingdom Heir
Romans 6:17 says, "But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed."
This verse reminds us of the incredible transformation that takes place when we become followers of Christ. We were once slaves to sin, but through our faith in Jesus Christ, we have been set free from that bondage.
As believers, we have been adopted into God's family and have become His children. This means that we are also heirs to His kingdom. This is an incredible privilege and responsibility that we should not take lightly. As kingdom heirs, we have a responsibility to reflect our Heavenly Father's character, love, and grace to the world.
To be a kingdom heir means that we have a new identity. We are no longer defined by our past sins, but instead, we are defined by our relationship with Christ. We are called to live as citizens of the kingdom of God, to honour and glorify Him in all that we do.
As kingdom heirs, we also have a new purpose. We are called to advance God's kingdom by spreading the gospel, serving others, and sharing the love of Christ with those around us. We are called to be salt and light in a dark and broken world.
Furthermore, as kingdom heirs, we have a new destiny. We are promised an eternal inheritance in heaven, where we will be with our Heavenly Father forever. This promise should give us hope and motivate us to live out our faith with boldness and courage.
being a kingdom heir is not just a label or a title; it is a way of life. It is a reminder that we have been set apart for a purpose and a destiny that is far greater than anything this world can offer. Let us embrace our identity as kingdom heirs, and let us live our lives in a way that honors and glorifies our Heavenly Father.
God bless you.
