Consent not with sinners
Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
In our daily lives, we are often surrounded by people who may not share our values and beliefs. These individuals may encourage us to engage in activities that are contrary to our principles and morals. They may pressure us to indulge in things that are not pleasing to God, such as gossiping, lying, stealing, or engaging in sexual immorality.
However, as followers of Christ, we must remain firm in our faith and resist the urge to give in to such temptations. We must not allow the opinions or actions of others to sway us from the path of righteousness.
We must remember that sin is a slippery slope, and it can quickly lead us down a dangerous path. The Bible warns us that the wages of sin is death, and it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can be forgiven and saved.
Joseph refused to dance to the tone of sin played by Potiphar's wife, He reaffirm his good morals and righteous living in God which he was rooted in while still with his father.
As Christians, we are called to live a holy and righteous life, one that is pleasing to God. This means we must be mindful of the company we keep and avoid those who may lead us astray.
We must surround ourselves with people who share our values and beliefs, who will encourage us to walk in the path of righteousness.
let us heed the words of Proverbs 1:10 and not consent with sinners. Let us remain steadfast in our faith and resist the temptations of this world.
Let us surround ourselves with those who will help us grow closer to God and live a life that honors Him. May we always remember that we are children of God, and as such, we must strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Amen.
