Fear not

Isaiah  41:12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.  41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.  41:14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.  41:15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

The Word of God from Isaiah 41 verses 12-15 speaks to us about the power of God to deliver us from fear. It is a message of hope and assurance that we should take to heart and apply to our lives.

The passage begins with God's assurance to his people that he is with them and will help them. He says, "You will seek those who contend with you, but you will not find them; those who war against you will be as nothing at all" (Isaiah 41:12). This is a powerful statement that speaks to the sovereignty of God over all things, including our fears and worries.

In verse 13, God again reassures his people, saying, "For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." This is a beautiful image of God holding our hand and guiding us through the challenges and difficulties of life. It reminds us that we are not alone, and that God is always with us, ready to help us when we call upon him.

In Verse 14, "Do not be afraid, you worm Jacob, little Israel, do not fear, for I myself will help you," declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel." Here, God is speaking directly to his people, reminding them of their identity as his chosen ones. Even though they may feel small and insignificant, God sees them as his beloved children, and he promises to help them and protect them.

Finally, in verse 15, God makes a bold declaration of his power and authority, saying, "See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff." This image of a threshing sledge crushing mountains and reducing hills to chaff is a powerful reminder of God's power and might. It reminds us that nothing is impossible for God, and that he is able to overcome any obstacle or challenge we may face.

These words of comfort and assurance are not just for the people of Israel in ancient times, but for us as well. We too can take hold of God's promises and trust in his power to deliver us from fear.

When we feel overwhelmed by the challenges of life, let us remember that God is with us, holding our hand and guiding us through the storm. Let us trust in his power to crush our fears and overcome our obstacles, knowing that nothing is impossible for him.

God will never leave you, nor forsake you as long you keep trusting and believing in Him.

God bless you
