God's Anointed
1 Samuel 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
David was just a little boy and a shepherd overseeing the flock of his father when God's grace located him. Little did he and his brothers know that he would be anointed that faithful day.
No one is born by mistake, God has a divine plan for everyone, it is obvious that God already anointed him to be His choice even when Ruth was still working on Boaz's field.
David was not the only one that's worthy But he was chosen and anointed for an assignment, he was anointed among his brethren, Grace and his pure heart single him out
After the anointing done by Samuel comes the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit endued him with wisdom and power, he was not just ordinary shepherd boy, he became an anointed boy full of the spirit of God. It was this spirit that gave him the confidence and boldness to confront Goliaht even when a whole king was shivering.
You also can be God's anointed, where you are, what you are doing, or your background does not matter in God's making choices, what matters is the condition of your heart
Jesus met with Saul on his way to persecute the early Church in Damascus, and that single encounter turned his life around. Who would have thought a man who oversee the killing of Stephen would be anointed to preach the same Gospel Stephen was killed for.
Not everyone will be God's anointed, but God's anointed can come form anybody,
One of the main factors determining God’s choice of His servants (their usability for God) is their hearts. It isn’t the matter of appearance, education, strength or any even more elusive quality; rather, of the heart – that is, the character. As seen in the life of David against his brothers
Another key factor of being God's anointed is our obedience and our readiness to obey God. If we are not ready to obey what God says to us, we are virtually unusable for Him. Without obedience, we are not even able to learn to really trust God.
Without the attitude of obedience, we may engage in many good and “God-pleasing” activities, however, these will be only plans of our heart or mind, rather than the will of God. God’s servants are something like God’s ambassadors. Their lives are supposed to reflect God’s character.
The question is, are you qualified to be God's anointed today? The condition of your heart and the readiness to be fully obedient to Him is the answer.
If you desire to be God's anointed, usable in this generation in any sphere of life, make your heart available.
God bless you.
