Discipleship

Luke  9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Discipleship in the light of faith is an integral part of the growth of any believer in Christ. It is the process of leading others by example to follow Jesus Christ through obedience to God’s word and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus speaks about counting the cost to be his disciple, he made it clear that following him would cost us our life of ease, our money and our time. To be a disciple of Jesus means we are the salt, the preserving force in this world in which we live in. If we fail to preserve our society for the Kingdom of Heaven then what good are we?

No one can ever be self sufficient without going through the tutelage of Christ made available in His words and His servants. the key to success in Christ is the discipline that the Scriptures bring to center every believer in the victorious abundant life that sets you free from the evils and perils of this world.

Christ first made disciples for himself, he chose  the twelve and latter asked them to make disciples. Little did we know that Christ himself was a disciple of God in obedience and act in this word, there is nothing He did on His own, this chain of discipleship was passed from Christ to the twelve and later on the early Church.

In discipleship, one thing must be constant in other to maintain the integrity of the master (Christ), and that is the originality of His word.

Anyone who fails to humble under the discipleship of Christ or those he had prepared for grooming will eventually fail and fall in life.

Many vibrant ministers of God, anointed and gifted men fail today and their ministry crash because they are too sufficient and proud to submit under the necessary authority for proper discipleship. Instead of their light to shine and their fire to keep burning, it became darkened and their fire went off

Our growth in Christ and life is subjected to our level of humility in discipleship.

Today, are you submitting to the discipleship of Christ through His word and servants?, being a disciple of Christ means, your loyalty is to Him, you love like Him, you sacrifice for Him, your obedience is to him and your truthfulness is for Him.

Commitment to be a disciple of Christ is an everyday work in one's Christian life. Those who have committed themselves to serve have dedicated their entire lives to Jesus, they follow him and obey every instructions He gives.

Jesus Christ is the only way to God through whom we follow, you can't choose to walk a different path and still expect to end up with the father. It is not possible.

Humble yourself under the discipleship of Christ and His servants so you can grow and last long.

God bless you.
