Those who are wise
Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
The words of prophet Daniel as stated in the scripture passage speaks of a future where the wise will "shine like the brightness of the heavens," and those who "lead many to righteousness" will be like stars, forever shining in the presence of God.
The wisdom Prophet Daniel speaks of is not earthly wisdom. This is not the wisdom of the world that seeks power, wealth, or fame. Rather, it is a wisdom that comes from God, rooted in His Word and His Spirit.
Proverbs 9:10 reminds us, *“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”* To be wise in God's sight is to revere Him, to live in awe of His majesty, and to submit to His authority in all things.
This divine wisdom leads us to a deeper understanding of life. It helps us discern the true purpose for which we were created: to love God, to love others, and to reflect His glory in everything we do. Those who are wise are those who seek the Kingdom of God first, trusting that everything else will be added to them in due time.
Furthermore, we are told that the wise will "shine like the brightness of the heavens." This is the radiance of a life lived in harmony with God's will. Just as the sun illuminates the earth and gives light to all, those who are wise shine brightly in a world darkened by sin and confusion.
But what does this look like in our daily lives? Apostle Paul, in Philippians 2:15, encourages believers to "shine like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life." Our lives should reflect the light of Christ, and our actions, words, and attitudes should point others to the truth of the Gospel.
When we live according to God’s wisdom, we become beacons of hope, peace, and righteousness. We show others that there is a better way—a way that leads to life and not destruction. The world may offer temporary pleasures, but the wisdom of God leads to eternal joy.
In conclusion, let us seek the wisdom that comes from God, shining brightly in this world as we live according to His Word. In a world that often seems lost in darkness, we have the privilege of reflecting the light of Christ.
God bless you.
