Let no one despise you

1 Timothy  4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

To despise is to show contempt toward, to scorn, or to disregard. It’s natural for people to look down on  you because of what you believe, what you stand for and the pattern which you live your life which is contrary to the ways of the world.

Timothy could avoid being despised by being an example to others in his speech, conduct, love, spirit, faith, and purity and by devoting himself to the public reading of Scripture, exhorting, and teaching.

You must be confidence in what you stand for in Christ irrespective of the world's contrary opinion. Our life must follow the below traits as christ commanded.

I. Set an Example in Speech:
Our words have tremendous power. They can uplift, inspire, and encourage, or they can harm and divide. As followers of Christ, we are called to set an example in our speech. Let our words be a source of light and grace in a world filled with darkness.

II. Set an Example in Conduct:
Our actions speak louder than words. How we live our lives reflects our faith. In our conduct, we should exhibit the love, kindness, and compassion that Christ showed us. Others should see Christ in us through our actions.

III. Set an Example in Love:
The love of Christ should be the foundation of our lives. We are called to love not only those who love us but also our enemies. In doing so, we set an example that transcends human understanding. Love should be the guiding force in our interactions with others.

IV. Set an Example in Faith:
Faith is the cornerstone of our relationship with God. We must nurture and strengthen our faith daily. By doing so, we set an example that inspires others to trust in God's promises and to seek a deeper relationship with Him.

V. Set an Example in Purity:
Purity is not limited to our actions but extends to our hearts and minds. We are called to live with integrity and holiness. Let us strive for purity in our thoughts, our relationships, and our choices.

In conclusion, We are called to be examples in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. Let no one despise you because of your youth, your inexperience, or any other factor. Instead, may the world see Christ in us, as we shine His light through our words, actions, love, faith, and purity.
God bless you.
