God cannot be mocked by
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
The God we serve is a just God, nothing is hidden before Him and everything we do here on earth, either secret or open to men are all open before Him.
As man sinned against God, we become unstable in measuring up to His standard even after our salvation has been perfected on the cross, so in a bid to appear godly before men, we live a deceitful life, trying to act as a real believer before men but in the secret we are far away from God, by this we mock God.
Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
We mock God when we think we can please Him through our deceptive religiosity, their lips proclaim the goodness and righteousness of God, but their heart is full of evil and far away from the truth of God.
They believe as much as one perfumes the status of the commandment, fulfilling the rights of religious service, like paying tithes, paying offering, giving to the needy, becoming a worker in the house of God, building sanctuary for God, they have fulfilled all righteousness, but their heart doesn't matter. They perpetrate evil and do wickedly in secret.
They deceived themselves into believing that they were worshiping God acceptably after their own invented religious behaviour. They had created a religion after their own traditions, and desires, they end up worshiping God in vain, what ought to be a spirit filled sacrifices of praise and worship are mere emotions.
Many who preach righteousness are full of wickedness, many who preach love are full of hatred, they publicly declare liberty but they hold people with grudges in the prison of their heart.
With these acts, you may seem to mock the name of God, but God can never be mocked, whatever you sow you will reap.
1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
Every evil you do in secret, every of your hypocritical life will soon be exposed in the open. God has nothing to lose, you are the one who has all to lose.
Repent before the judgment of God comes upon you, when all your secrets and evil deeds shall be revealed.
Stop deceiving yourself, stop living a hypocritical life, humble yourself before God and let Him work on you.
God can never be mocked.
