Good Deeds
Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Doing good is not a mere side-line in the Christian life. It is a basic principle of Christian living, its one of the attributes of God which is evidence in the character of Christ and expected of every believer to emulate.
Our act of kindness must be expressed towards another at any point in time irrespective of who they are, even if they appear to be our enemy. In doing this, we are fulling God's desire of peace to reign among humanity, and a means of helping those who are in needs.
Like the good samaritan, he had compassion on the wounded, even with so much cultural differences between them, he took it upon himself to help without expecting public praise or reward. Such act of kindness is what pleases God on His throne.
Luke 10:33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
Another person to consider is Cornelious, he was a devote man and often give alms to the poor and the needy, God recognised his act which is without hypocrisy.
Acts 10:1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, 10:2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
God desires we do good all the time especially to those who are in need. It must be the one that comes from the dept of our heart without any ulterior motives.
Don't be discouraged of doing good, even if you are not praised for it, all your act of kindness will never go unnoticed before God and He will surly reward you.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
God bless you.
