The voice of rejoicing
Psalms 118:15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
The voice of rejoicing is not a mere expression of happiness based on fleeting circumstances. It is a profound acknowledgment of the salvation we find in our relationship with the Almighty. True rejoicing emerges from a deep understanding that the right hand of the Lord is at work valiantly in our lives.
This voice of rejoicing and salvation does not just reside anywhere, but in the tabernacles of the righteous, those who, in the face of adversity, find solace in the unwavering presence of the Lord.
Let us consider the imagery of a tent, temporary and vulnerable. Yet, it is in these very tents that the voice of rejoicing echoes. It suggests that regardless of our external circumstances, joy is found in the sanctuary of our connection with God. It is a joy that transcends the temporal and stands resilient against the storms of life.
Our rejoicing, then, becomes a testimony, an audible declaration of our trust in the Lord's unwavering faithfulness. It is not a denial of challenges but a proclamation that, even in the midst of trials, the right hand of the Lord is our anchor and our deliverer.
The psalmist's words urge us to be conscious of the source of our joy. It is not rooted in our achievements, possessions, or circumstances but in the mighty hand of God working valiantly on our behalf. It is the assurance that His strength is our strength, His victory is our victory, and His salvation is our everlasting joy.
In conclusion, let us have our voices filled with the melody of rejoicing. Let our hearts, like a well-tuned instrument, resound with gratitude for the salvation that transcends every trial. May our tents, though temporary, be known for the unwavering joy that echoes within, the voice of rejoicing that emanates from a deep and abiding relationship with the Almighty.
God bless you.
