Make a wise choice

Revelation  22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.  22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

As the year 2023 draws to an end in less than ten hours and a new year begins, This is a  call to make a wise choice, it is not just a suggestion; it is a divine directive that carries eternal significance.

The passage reminds us that there are those who persist in wrongdoing and others who, in righteousness, continue to do what is right. The eternal consequences of these choices are imminent as the Lord declares, "I am coming soon! My reward is with me." The choices we make shape not only our present but also our eternal destiny.

In a world filled with constant distractions and conflicting voices, the wisdom to discern right from wrong becomes paramount. We are confronted daily with choices that can either lead us closer to God or distance us from His grace. It is in these moments of decision that the gravity of our choices becomes apparent.

The call to make a wise urges us to seek God's guidance and align our decisions with His will. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Making a wise choice involves seeking God's wisdom, trusting in His guidance, and surrendering our will to His divine plan. The reward promised in Revelation is not just a distant concept but a reality that unfolds based on the choices we make today.

As we are about to begin a new year, let us be mindful of the choices before us. May we seek wisdom through prayer and Scripture, allowing God to illuminate our path. Let our choices reflect the transformative power of God's love, drawing us closer to Him and impacting the world around us.

In conclusion, let us understand that our decisions have eternal consequences. Christ can appear anytime, death can happen anytime, the choice you make today will determine your eternity. May the choices we make today be rooted in faith, guided by wisdom, and aligned with the eternal truth of God's Word. Amen.

God bless you.
