Rooted in Christ Jesus
Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
The understanding of being rooted in Christ is powerful force that define every believer in Christ's journey. Just as a tree draws sustenance and stability from its roots, we are called to draw our strength and foundation from our connection with Christ. When we accepted Him as our Lord and Savior, our spiritual roots were planted deep in the fertile soil of His grace.
To be rooted in Christ means more than a superficial attachment; it signifies a profound, life-nourishing connection. Our faith is not a fleeting emotion but a steadfast commitment, like roots that anchor a tree through storms. As we face the challenges of life, let us remember the depth of our spiritual roots in Christ, finding solace and stability in Him.
Paul encourages us not only to be rooted but also to be built up in Christ. A tree grows and matures, reaching toward the heavens. Likewise, our faith should be dynamic, ever-growing, and reaching toward spiritual maturity. This growth is nurtured through prayer, study of the Word, and fellowship with fellow believers.
Strengthened in the faith, we become resilient disciples capable of withstanding the trials of life. Just as exercise strengthens the body, the challenges we face can strengthen our faith when we face them with Christ at the center. Embrace adversity as an opportunity for spiritual growth, confident that your roots in Christ provide unwavering support.
You are healthy and fit because you have been FEEDING on balance diet. The strengthening of the INSIDE brings about the abundance on the Outside. The more of the word of God you feed on determines your outer expression of faith and grace.
What we see above the ground depends on what is happening below the ground as of a plant that is panted. What you see on the outside is a reflection of what is on the inside.
No one can see the foundation, but we can see the building above it, Many are growing old, but not growing up. Their relationship with Christ has been placed on hold and their understanding of Him stalled.
Today, God desires you to be rooted in Christ, so you can be properly built up in Him, by this you will withstand all storms of life and never be deceived by the lies of the devil.
Be rooted in His words, obedience and faith in Him.
God bless you.
