The shield of faith

Ephesians  6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

In the verse above, we are urged to take up the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. A shield is powerful in all weapons of war, it signifies protection, defense, and resilience against the assaults of the enemy.
