Excellency of our love to God

Romans  8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

There was once a young couple who just got married in a small town, their life style is an evidence of true love as man can say, they do things together, walk together, almost inseparable.

But some years latter, the husband got involved in an accident, and got his spinal chord broken, this subjected him to be on the wheelchair.

Not bothered by the predicament, the wife never stop loving and  caring for her beloved husband... As time goes on, she became weary, exhausted and tired of the stress of caring for her husband and herself... So she filed of a divorce.

Dear reader, what shall separate you from the love of christ?, what is the depth of your love for the God you claim to serve?

Apostle Paul highlighted some possible agents that can influence our divorce with God. Tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril or even sword... But he was confident that none of this can never separate the joy bond he experienced in Christ both life and in death.

Is your love for God not conditioned on what you receive from Him, or the favourable conditions of life you enjoy?

Is your love for God proportional to your answered prayers?

The three Hebrews in the book of Daniel made a great confession and proof what an excellent love for God truly mean.

Daniel  3:17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.  3:18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

Their love, faith and confident in God is not determined by the power of God in saving them, they stand on thier faith that even if God choses not to save them, their love for him is still solid.

If God didn't answer your prayer, will you still continue to serve Him?

If you  experience delay, failure, famine, persecution or death, will you still love this God. Will you not speak evil against Him? Will you not stop believing, worshiping, and  stop going to church?

Our love for God should never be characterised only by the life we live in good times.

The excellency of our love for God should go beyond the natural affections, but become spiritual.

God is God, even when man stop being man.

Don't stop loving God in whatever condition you find yourself.

God bless you.
