The knowledge of His Will

Colossians  1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

In the teachings of Apostle Paul to the believes of Colossians, he  unveils a powerful truth – the importance of knowing and understanding the will of God. But what does it mean to know His will? It goes beyond intellectual comprehension; it encompasses a deep spiritual insight and alignment with the divine purpose.

To know God's will is to be attuned to His desires, His plans, and His heart for humanity. It is to seek His guidance in every aspect of our lives – in our decisions, our relationships, and our endeavors. It is to surrender our own will to His, trusting in His wisdom and sovereignty.

But how do we attain this knowledge of His will? Paul provides us with the answer – through prayer and the work of the Holy Spirit. Prayer opens the door to communion with God, allowing us to seek His will and to receive His guidance. And it is the Holy Spirit who illuminates our hearts and minds, granting us the wisdom and understanding to discern His will.

We can only accept and flow with the will of God in our journey only if we have its knowledge, and without the Holy spirit we cannot comprehend the desires of God for our life because, most of God's instructions and will sometimes becomes alien to the wisdom and intellectual understanding of man.

As we journey through life, let us not rely solely on our own understanding or the wisdom of this world. Instead, let us fervently seek the knowledge of His will, knowing that it is the key to a life of purpose, fulfillment, and alignment with the divine.

In conclusion, let us foster a life style of prayer which creates a communal relationship between us and God. And we must consistently honour the the leading of the Holy spirit in us, which is the spirit of God that illuminates our path. May we be guided by His wisdom in all that we do, and may our lives be a reflection of His perfect plan for us. Amen.

God bless you.
