Living by faith of Christ

Galatians  2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Apostle Paul teaches the essence of what it means to be a follower of Christ – to live a life centered on faith, grounded in the sacrificial love of our Savior.

There are many aspects of our life that's must exhibit living by the faith in Christ. Let us examine few.

1.  Crucified with Christ: Paul begins by proclaiming his identification with Christ's death on the cross. In baptism, we symbolically die to our old selves, our sins, and our selfish desires. Just as Christ died for our sins, we die to sin, and our old self is crucified with him. This is not just  a physical act but a spiritual reality, expressing the death of our old nature and the birth of a new life in Christ.

2. Christ Lives in Me: As Paul continues, he reveals the glorious truth that Christ lives within him. This indwelling presence of Christ transforms every aspect of our being. When we invite Christ into our hearts, he doesn't merely coexist with us; he becomes the driving force behind our thoughts, actions, and decisions. His love, power, and wisdom flow through us, enabling us to live victoriously over sin and to fulfill the purpose for which we were created.

3. Living by Faith: Finally, Paul emphasizes that the life he now lives in the flesh, he lives by faith in the Son of God. Living by faith means entrusting our lives entirely to Christ, relying on his promises, and obeying his commands, even when they seem contrary to human wisdom. It involves surrendering our will to his, walking in obedience, and trusting in his unfailing love and faithfulness. Living by faith requires us to abandon self-reliance and to depend wholly on the grace and power of God.

As we continue our life journey, let us reflect on this message and let us examine our own lives. Are we truly crucified with Christ, allowing his life to be manifested in us? Are we living each day by faith, trusting in his guidance and provision? May we continually surrender ourselves to Christ, allowing him to work in and through us, so that we may experience the fullness of life he has promised.

In conclusion, as we have become followers of Christ, our lives are no longer our own but belong to Christ who loved us and gave himself for us. Let us strive to live each day by faith in the Son of God, drawing strength from his presence within us and bearing witness to his love and grace to a world in need.

May the Holy Spirit empower us to live out this truth in our daily lives, bringing glory to God and advancing his kingdom here on earth. Amen.

God bless you.
