God's Santuary
Exodus 25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
God, in His infinite wisdom, desires to be close to His people. The sanctuary mentioned in this verse is not merely a physical structure but a symbolic representation of the sacred space where God's presence dwells. As believers, we are called to create a dwelling place for God in our hearts, minds, and communities.
Just as the Israelites were instructed to build a sanctuary, we are called to construct a space within ourselves where God can reside. It is a sanctuary built not with bricks and mortar, but with faith, love, and obedience. Our lives become the sacred temple where God's spirit abides, guiding our thoughts, actions, and decisions.
In the New Testament, we learn that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). This reinforces the idea that God desires to dwell within us. Therefore, we must strive to keep our hearts and minds pure, allowing His presence to transform us from the inside out.
Furthermore, God's sanctuary extends beyond our individual lives to encompass our communities. When we gather in fellowship, worship, and service, we create a collective sanctuary where God's presence is felt. This shared space becomes a source of strength, unity, and support for all who seek refuge in His name.
let us examine our lives and ask ourselves whether we are actively building a sanctuary for God. Are our hearts open to His presence? Are we nurturing an environment where His love can flourish? Bearing in mind that gif doesn't dwell where sin exist. Let us strive to be living sanctuaries, inviting God to dwell among us.
In conclusion, the call to create a sanctuary for God is an invitation to intimacy and relationship. It challenges us to be mindful of our thoughts, actions, and communal life. When we recognises God in our heart, we become carrier of His divine presence.
God bless you.
