Abiding in Christ

John  15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Jesus invites us into a deeper understanding of our relationship with Him. The call to abide in Christ is an invitation to a life of intimacy, dependency, and communion. Just as a branch draws its life and sustenance from the vine, we are called to draw our strength, purpose, and identity from our connection with Christ.

Abiding in Christ involves aligning our will with His, seeking His presence in prayer, and immersing ourselves in His Word. Just as a branch stays connected to the vine, we are called to stay connected to Christ through a living and vibrant relationship.

As we abide in Christ, we experience transformation. The process of abiding involves pruning—removing the unnecessary and unfruitful aspects of our lives. It's a call to surrender, allowing Christ to shape us into vessels of His love, grace, and righteousness. Through this transformation, we become fruitful branches, bearing the fruits of the Spirit in our lives.

The promise of abiding in Christ is clear: "Apart from me, you can do nothing" (John 15:5). Our efforts, achievements, and endeavors find their true significance and purpose when rooted in Christ. As we abide in Him, we find the strength to navigate life's challenges, the wisdom to make godly decisions, and the peace that surpasses understanding.

Abiding in Christ also involves remaining steadfast in faith, especially during challenging seasons. Just as a branch endures various weather conditions, we too may face trials, yet our resilience comes from being firmly connected to the unchanging and eternal source of life—Jesus Christ.

Many accepted Christ as Lord and their personal saviour and that stands as the begining of their faith journey. But many, along the way turned back or turned  sideways from Christ even when people still see them as one of a family of Christ.

Many "ministers of God's" whom people recognises as the true servants of God have stopped bidding In Christ and have sort ways of the Satan to support their ministry. Of such Christ said they can never bear fruit worthy of the kingdom.

In conclusion, anyone who fails to abide in Christ can never bear fruit in Christ and for Christ. It is only in Christ we can bear fruit of salvation, holiness, righteousness and godly living.

God bless you.
