Be fruitful and multiply

Genesis  1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

In the context of Genesis, the call to be fruitful and multiply is to become abundance of God's blessings in our lives. His command encourages us to cultivate and multiply our virtues, talents, and the love we share with one another.

being fruitful encompasses more than mere reproduction; it beckons us to be productive in every good thing. Our lives are meant to bear the fruits of positive actions, kindness, and productivity in all aspects.

In the realm of our daily endeavours, whether in our workplaces, homes, or communities, let us strive to be productive. This productivity is not merely measured in material gains but also in the intangible virtues we cultivate – diligence, integrity, and a spirit of service. In doing so, we fulfill the divine purpose of contributing to the betterment of our world.

Being fruitless, on the other hand, denotes a life devoid of meaningful contributions. It challenges us to reflect on our actions and ask whether we are actively participating in the flourishing of goodness around us.

Let us be vigilant against idleness, complacency, and selfishness, and instead, let our lives be a testament to the abundant harvest that results from being productive in every good thing.

In this pursuit, we align ourselves with the divine plan, recognizing that a life marked by productivity in goodness not only fulfills God's command but also brings fulfillment and purpose to our own lives.

Furthermore, the commandment calls us to be stewards of the Earth, multiplying our efforts to care for and nurture the environment. As we witness the wonders of creation, we are reminded of our responsibility to ensure that future generations can also delight in the beauty of God's handiwork.

In a world often marked by scarcity and strife, the call to multiply echoes the promise of abundance. It inspires us to share generously, to extend a helping hand, and to create communities where the fruits of peace and justice abound.

In conclusion, let us heed the divine instruction to be fruitful and multiply, not just in numbers, but in the richness of our character, the depth of our relationships, and the positive impact we make on the world. In doing so, we align ourselves with the divine purpose and contribute to a legacy of goodness that echoes through the generations. Amen.

God bless you.
