Father and Child Relationship
2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
God always desire intimacy with us, His children. Just as a father cherishes his offspring, God longs to nurture and guide us, to be intimately involved in our lives.
Firstly, let us acknowledge the immense privilege we have as children of God. We are not just a fragment of God's creation in the vastness of the universe; rather, we are intimately connected to the Creator of all things. This relationship is not to be taken lightly, but cherished and nurtured with reverence and gratitude.
Secondly, as children of God, we are called to a higher standard of living. We are urged to "come out from them and be separate," to live lives that reflect the purity and holiness of our Heavenly Father. Just as a loving father sets boundaries for his children out of love and concern, God calls us to abstain from unclean things that can harm our spiritual well-being.
Lastly, we find assurance in God's promise to be our Father. In a world where earthly relationships may falter, God's love remains steadfast and unwavering. He pledges to walk with us, to provide for us, and to protect us as a loving father would his children. What a comfort it is to know that we are never alone, but always under the loving care of our Heavenly Father.
In conclusion, let us renew our commitment to cultivating a deep and meaningful relationship with our Heavenly Father. Let us strive to live lives that honor Him in all that we do, knowing that we are cherished and loved beyond measure.
God bless you.
