Run from evil communication
1 Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
In a world saturated with various forms of communication, it's easy to underestimate the impact it can have on our lives. Just as a small spark can ignite a massive fire, so can the wrong communication ignite destructive influences within us. We are called to discern and evaluate the relationships we cultivate and the conversations we participate in.
The apostle Paul's admonition to "run from evil communication" challenges us to prioritize what we allow into our hearts and minds. We must recognize that our associations shape our attitudes, beliefs, and actions.
While it's essential to be a light in the world and show compassion to all, we must also remember that we are susceptible to being influenced by negative ideas and attitudes.
When we surround ourselves with those who speak negatively, spread gossip, or engage in unwholesome discussions, we risk compromising our own integrity and moral compass.
Instead of embracing the values and principles of Christ, we may find ourselves swayed by the currents of worldly thinking. Therefore, we are urged to choose our companions carefully, seeking those who uplift, encourage, and inspire us to live out our faith with authenticity and devotion.
Furthermore, we are also prompted to consider the ways in which we communicate. It's not just about the people we associate with, but also about the words we use and the messages we convey.
Are our words a source of edification, grace, and truth, or do they contribute to division and negativity? Let us remember that our speech has the power to build up or tear down, to heal or to wound.
In our pursuit of righteous living, let us be deliberate in guarding our hearts and minds from the allure of evil communication. Let us surround ourselves with those who encourage us in our faith, challenge us to grow, and hold us accountable. May our words be a reflection of the love and grace of Christ, spreading positivity and hope to a world in need.
In conclusion, as we live our life, let us always remember that bad communication corrupts good morals. Let us strive to be beacons of light, seeking out the company of those who uplift us and diligently guarding our speech, so that in all things, Christ may be glorified. Amen.
God bless you.
